Grace Update :)

Hello all. Well, our Grace is getting bigger. Recently she has really been filling out. Her face seems a little more full, as well as the rest of her :) Other than that, not much has been going on. A couple weeks ago she was pretty sick. So Mommy and I didn't like that. The doc said she had conjunctivitis (I don't know if that is how that is spelled :)) and a double ear infection. She also had a really nasty cough. Anyway, we got some antibiotics into Grace's system and she is back to her happy little self. Not that really ever changed :) We probably wouldn't have noticed she was sick due to how much she smiles if it wasn't for the conjunctivitis. Grace's poor little eyes were swollen and red. :( You almost wanted to cry when you looked at her. Of course, she had a smile on :)

Other than that Grace has been talking a lot. Dada and baba are words she likes to say. But don't worry Mom, she'll be spitting out Mama pretty soon I'm sure. :) Besides those words she just jibber-jabbers a lot. :) We love it. She is also moving all over the place. She still hasn't mastered the crawl, but it hasn't held her back. You take your eyes off her for a second and she is gone. :) Grace loves the solids these days. She is not as big on the veggies, but she sure loves the fruit: apples, peaches, pears, bananas.

This last weekend was pretty good. We took Grace to a birthday party of one her playmates at daycare. It was really sweet. We got some great pics. One in particular of Grace on a pony with Mommy and I by her side. She loved it. Oh, when Cadance, the birthday gir, was opening her gifts there was one baby just talking up a storm and it happened to be Grace. It was real cute. :)

Well, I can't think of any other updates right now. I'm sure I'll be back soon with more though. :) We love you, Grace. :)

First Mother's Day for Mommy

Well Mom, Grace and I celebrated Mommy's first Mother's day this weekend. It was a really good weekend. Grace was in a great mood pretty much the whole time. And as you probably know by now that really isn't out of the ordinary. :) Of course, I was in a good mood the whole time :), and I'm pretty sure Mom enjoyed it. Grace and I both got Mommy a card and some flowers. Other than that I rented her some movies, and I tried to take care of Grace as much as possible to give her a restful weekend. Of course, Mommy wanted to play with her girl the whole time. So I don't know if she got any rest, but I hope so. You know Grace is such a pleasure to be around and so much fun to take care of that when you aren't, you don't really know what to do with yourself.

Anyway, our girl is getting real active. :) She is all over the place. It used to be that when you set her down that was it. That would be Grace's spot. But now she is all over the place. She isn't on all fours yet, but she is scooting everywhere. :) Scooting or rolling. :) Also we are getting all sorts of solids in her and she is doing her apple juice. Life is good. :)

FIRST WORDS!!! :)

So Grace had an exciting weekend. Saturday we woke up and went to Me'me' and Pe'pe's. They had Grace's cousins, Arianna and Landon. They are so sweet with Grace. They talk to her and hold her. Arianna does a great job with her, holding her and feeding her. It is really sweet. Landon is still small, but he talks real cute to her and makes her laugh. Landon and I were doing something this weekend, and Grace got the biggest kick out of it. She was just lauging her head off. Mommy and Pe'pe' were outside talking, but Me'me' was there. She really enjoyed hearing Grace's laughter. Oh, it was Me'me's birthday this weekend. I think she really enjoyed it. We got her a cake and Arianna made her a really sweet picture. :)

The most exciting thing happened when we got back home. Grace said her first words!!!!!!:) It was great. I wished it could have happened a day earlier, so others could have shared in it, but Mommy and I were both really happy and excited. Well, I guess I was a little more excited. Grace said Dada. :) Of course, Mommy was happy too. :) Grace was really excited about it to. Once she said it she couldn't stop. :) Anyway, our girl is on her way. We love you, Grace. :)

She's Growing up Fast

Today was Miss Grace's six month checkup. She weighed in at fourteen pounds six ounces. She is still in the 25 percentile for weight. She is now in the 75 percentile for height. Tall and skinny like her mom and dad. (Kev...no comments). Watching her in the doctors office was so much fun, she was on her tummy on the chair with the paper in the doctors office. She loved the the feel and sound of the paper she kept crumpling it up in her hands and laughing out loud. Then, she was going around in circles on her tummy, I was sure that she was going to be dizzy when done.

Last night Grace was on the floor, and we noticed that she is getting up on all fours, acting like she is about to crawl, which is pretty funny because she cannot sit up with out being supported yet!! She can hold her own weight when put on her feet, so she might be one of the kids that does this early....lets just hope that she learns to sit by herself soon. hmm...actually she can stay the way she is forever and I would be entirely happy.

**Update on feeding**
She has tried and successfully ate...applesauce, butternut squash, carrots, and peas. She definitely likes the applesauce the best.

Our little girl is the best!

First night out after 6 months

This last weekend Mommy and I went on our first date in six months. :) I want to thank Me'me' for coming up and watching Grace, so that we could do this. Also thank you for the care package. Anyway, Grace had a great time with Me'me, and Mommy and I had a wonderful evening.

On all fours :)

So for the past while Grace has been going places, but mainly on her belly. :) She just scoots any where she wants to go. Well last night was an exciting night. She was laying there and she started to get up on her knees. Then she started to push up with her arms. :) She was having trouble, but she was getting there. Really exciting. Once Grace has that down pat she is going to be crawling every where. :) I'm excited, but is definitely going to keep Mommy and I on our toes.

Keep working hard, baby. We love you.
